Degrees & Programs

The College of Arts and Media’s film department takes you behind the camera and into an in-depth look at cinematography and storytelling. Within the three programs offered in film, students can gain knowledge applicable to both small-scale projects and major motion pictures. As a branch of CAM, film students may build and explore their passion for the arts and entertainment industry by learning about preproduction, post-production and everything in between.

Student Work

At the College of Arts & Media, the film department houses students focusing on film production, screenwriting, broadcasting and editing and visual effects. Students within the film department have the chance to work on short films, broadcasting productions, screenings and more. With events like the 48 Hour Film Challenge and the GCU Film Festival, students may participate in events to showcase their work to a broader audience.
